house of stark a/w 2011

Ha ha ha!  That title is a Game of Thrones inside joke.  Did you House Stark fans freak out when you read it?  Well, now is the time of year when I start to think about about fall and winter fashion.  And of course, the HBO's production of Game of Thrones has been one of my big inspirations. That's Arya Stark, my favorite character, above.

The women of House Stark are an obvious choice, since, as residents of Winterfell in the North they wear lots of layers, fur, and amazing cloaks.

Pet wolves make nice accessories.  Sansa is kind of an annoying brat, but I love the neckline on this dress.

Here are some looks from this year's autumn and winter collections that I'm liking.

  1. I am so in love with the Rodarte for Opening Ceremony collection!

Also, I think I need to watch this 'Game of Thrones' everyone is raving about. :)

  2. I haven't seen Game of Thrones, since we don't have HBO, but I'm loving the fur trim!

Paul and I went to see an unremarkable French film Tuesday evening (The Princess of Montpensier), but the costumes were amazing. One even had enormous fur cuffs.

  3. Highly addicted to Game of Thrones and bummed I have to wait so long for new episodes. Sansa is kind of irritating but you've got to feel sorry for her too.

Anyhooo - it's rainy and cold here in the north so I am ready for wool and cold weather fashion. Winter's coming!
